Chen Fake (1887-1957) grew up in the district of Chenjiaguo in the Province of Henan. He is recognized as being one of the greatest exponents of taijiquan and was able in a very convincing way to demonstrate all aspects of taijiquan. By moving to the Capital in 1928 and teaching there, he made the Chen style accessible to the public. In spite of his abilities in taijiquan he was famous for his very humble attitude towards his own skills and his very respectful way of treating other people.
